Week 1. : First class meeting: Orientation. Bring your Printouts in your binder. Warm-ups. ALL SINGERS SING Ice-Breaker campfire songs in groups of four. You get your group photo taken tonight! Newbies start to learn Long Time Ago. (Returning students: Bring your sheet music for your first song to give to the accompanist. Time permitting, we'll do quick start evaluations/key check.)

Week 2. ALL SINGERS SING TODAY. Jump right in! Newbies introduce Long Time Ago as a group- no evaluation. Returning Vets sing Song #1- quick start evaluations/key check.

Week 3. Song #1 rehearsal, half the class, evaluated. Newbies who do well might graduate. The sooner you get Song 1 accomplished, the sooner you can move on to song 2.

Week 4. Song #1 rehearsal, half the class, evaluated. Time permitting, some students from last week might sing again, so always be prepared to sing each week. Newbies who do well might graduate.

Week 5. Song #1 rehearsal, half the class, evaluated. Time permitting, some students from last week might sing again, so always be prepared to sing each week. Newbies who do well might graduate. Some people might be starting on Song #2.

Week 6. Song #1 or starting Song #2. All remaining Newbies hopefully graduate. Farewell to Long Time Ago. Bring accompanist a copy of your sheet music today for Song #2 so she will be ready for next week. When selecting song #2 make it a different style and tempo than your first song. How about a song that has a prop or costume!

Week 7. ALL SINGERS introduce their Song #2 TODAY, run through. Be on your toes! Expect only a few minutes of stage time, interruptions, and Quick Start Evaluations. Even if you are still working on Song #1, you must introduce Song #2 today to get started so you do not get behind.

Week 8. Song #2 (or #1) rehearsal, half the class, evaluated.

Week 9. Song #2 (or #1) rehearsal, half the class, evaluated. Time permitting, some students from last week might sing again, so always be prepared to sing each week.

Week 10. Song #2 rehearsal, half the class, evaluated. Time permitting, some students from last week might sing again, so always be prepared to sing each week. No more Song #1 for now, but keep working on it at home.

Week 11. Song #2 re-check for ANY wanting do-overs! Tonight's warm-up includes the Affirmation Square. You will be coming up with 4 short sentences. Two "Inner Demons" one "Angel on the Shoulder" and one "Power Affirmation." See week 11 page for details. (Reminder: Filming is NEXT week so you must dress up next week. Look like a star and you'll sing like one.)

Week 12. ALL SINGERS FILMED TODAY! Smile! This will be a Video-Taped Dress Rehearsal performance of your CHOICE of a song you have alreadly worked on in class. No new songs tonight. It has to be a song you have been working on. Please come dressed as for a recital in nice clothes (or your costume.) No casual attire.

Week 13. The Big Reveal Pot Luck Night!!

WE START ON TIME-- SO DO NOT BE LATE! BE EARLY!
No singing tonight. Bring food! We’re watching the video tape of last week’s performances! Bring your own plate and cup so you have a way to take some yummy goodies to your seat, and take some home with you, too! BE EARLY!

Week 14. The Woodshed Rehearsal Part 1. Now that you have seen yourself, at least half the class will sing a small section of their song tonight. Instructor's decision on what section of it you will sing. Whatever you saw on the video that needs fixing, we will fix tonight. We’ll need to know your recital song choice tonight: TITLE and COMPOSER. Money due tonight if you want a DVD of the upcoming recital.

Week 15. The Woodshed Rehearsal Part 2. The other half of the class will sing a small section of their song tonight. Instructor's decision on what section of it you will sing. Whatever you saw on the video that needs fixing, we will fix tonight. Time permitting, some students from last week might sing again. Next week you will bring your friends and family to hear you perform! Newbies will sing one song. Vets will sing either one or two songs (if both songs are strong and very different in style, we might have you sing them both!)

Week 16. Final Class Meeting = PUBLIC RECITAL.Wow! You DID it!
PUBLIC RECITAL. 7PM to 9PM Forsythe, Room 105, Bring guests! Please come dressed for a recital in nice clothes (or your costume.) No casual attire. Be here at 6:30 to warm up.
