Why The Beaver Mascot?

electronic cigarettes

We agree that this is a clever device, but did you know it is also the last name of the owner of Clever Cigarettes, Hans Clever? His last name is actually pronounced cleaver--as in Beaver Cleaver, but spelled like the word clever. And clever it is!

Hans' late father Hugh Robert Clever (shown at right) also enjoyed making a pun of his last name. He had an electronics store in northern California called Beaver Electronics. His mascot was Beaver Cleaver, a beaver with its left arm extended in a peace sign. We updated this beaver mascot and put our Electronic Cigarette between its two fingers (shown at left.)

Hugh, also known as Bob, died of lung cancer from smoking in the late 1980s. In his honor, we carry on the tradition of Beaver Cleaver the mascot, naming the cute little guy Bobby Beaver after Hugh's nick name.

We hope these Clever Electronic Cigarettes will help someone you love live a longer healthier life. We miss you Bob.
